Other applications operated by the author
Beyond this website, the author operates one personal application registered with Google, used solely for his own data.
rclone-sauvegarde is a single-user application running on a personal workstation. It uses the open-source tools rclone and restic to store encrypted backups of the author’s own files in the author’s own Google Drive account. It is not a product, it is not distributed, and it has no users other than its author.
Google user data accessed. The application requests a single scope, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file, described by Google as “See, edit, create and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app”.
The application can therefore access only the files it has itself created. It never requests access to Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, Photos, or to any pre-existing Drive file.
How that data is used, stored and shared. Files are encrypted on the workstation before being sent, and are read back only to restore the author’s own data. Nothing is analysed, profiled, sold, or transmitted to any third party. The OAuth tokens issued by Google are stored locally in the rclone configuration file, readable only by the author’s operating system account, and are never sent to any server other than Google’s own authentication endpoints.
Authorisation can be revoked at any time from myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately ends the application’s access.
This application’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
