About sinecu.re

sinecu.re is a technical and practical logbook where I share my experiments, successes, proudly acknowledged failures, and hands‑on feedback around what I’m passionate about: computing, home automation, DIY, woodworking and metalworking, photography, and musical digressions often involving vinyl records.
My goal is not to rewrite official documentation, but to provide concrete stories, step‑by‑step guides, and field‑oriented analyses drawn from real‑world situations.

Who am I?

My name is Arnauld Dravet, and I currently work as a program director, meaning I “pilot” a portfolio of projects built around a common theme. For many years now, that theme has been Identity and Access Management (IAM), a key cybersecurity domain with a direct impact on users’ daily lives.
Before that, I was a lecturer in algorithms, a systems and network engineer, then a consultant, project manager, and technical team manager, which taught me to juggle between theory, architecture, and very hands‑on troubleshooting.

What you’ll find here

On sinecu.re, you’ll come across both technical guides (virtualization, Linux/Unix, cloud, IAM, home automation, scripting and automation) and DIY projects: oak furniture, automatic watering systems, Jeedom integrations, and various electronics hacks.
I aim for an expert yet accessible tone, with enough detail for you to reproduce, adapt, or at least avoid the pitfalls I’ve run into during my own technical wanderings.

Beyond the keyboard

When I’m not dissecting an IAM architecture or tracking down strange behavior on a network, there’s a good chance you’ll find me in the garden clearing brush, working on yet another woodworking or metalworking experiment, or wondering which camera I should adopt next after deciding to sell my Nikon D700, then my Fuji X‑H1 and all their lenses.
Music also has a special place in my daily life, especially through a collection of vinyl records that often sets the mood for these more or less reasonable projects.

About content and opinions

This blog is a strictly personal project: it does not represent or reflect in any way the activities, priorities, or official positions of my current or past employers, nor of any clients.
All content, analysis, and opinions published here are mine alone, created on my own time, for my own experiments and for curious readers who happen to drop by.
